Gene Eaker Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Eaker (Lawndale, North Carolina), born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Cecil Lattimore Eaker and Bessie Proctor Eaker; his children, Deborah Royster and Darrell Eaker; and his siblings, Garlan Eaker, Mary Eaker, Burleens "Lena" Whisnant, Dot Hendrick, Wilma Towery and Selma White.
He is survived by : his wife Peggy Shytle Eaker; his daughters, Donna Lynn of Lawndale, Deniece Land (Randy Cade) of Shelby and Dale Eaker (Louie Zeleskey) of Lawndale; his son-in-law Edwin Royster of Lawndale; and his grandchildren, Nelson Royster, Matthew Royster, Caleb Lynn, Ellyn Brotherton, Nolan Lynn, Hannah Lee, Kristin Hammond, David Hunter Land, Daniel Eaker, Thomas Eaker, Jessica Talbert, Katy Barbour and Jullia Zeleskey. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
