He is survived by : his sons, Joe Oakes (Dana) of Prospect Hill and Randy Oakes (Kathy) of Mebane; his siblings, Harvey Oakes, Robert Oakes and Frances Wrenn; and his grandchildren, Randall Oakes, Elijah Oakes and Hannah Hudson.
