She is survived by: her children, Margaret Sonya Idol Hoxie (Craig) of Leasburg and James McDowell Idol, Jr. of Cary; her sister Cathy Fink (Tom) of Hubert; and her grandchildren, Tara, Jason, Jenny, Kristen, Annie and David. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
