Though Earl may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Earl leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Ruby Clark Fortner; and his sisters, Grace Moody and Yvonne Branch. He is survived by: his brother James Fortner; and his children, Linda Fortner Spina (Mike), Joann Fortner (Mike), Earl Fortner Jr. (Tracy), Sandra Woodcock, Randy Woodcock (Jennifer) and Lacy Fortner Jones (Mark). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Madison Funeral Services (1750 NC-213, Marshall, NC 28753). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
