She is survived by: her husband George "Buddy" William Blackwell, Jr.; her daughter Belinda Peek (Timothy); her granddaughters, Sara Peek and Emily Peek; her siblings, Joan Robinson (Martin), Joyce Guice (Bobby), Wayne Lanning and Anthony Lanning; and her pet Bailey. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Anders-Rice Funeral Home (1428 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28806). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at the Lanning-Pittillo Cemetery (286 Fruitland Cemetery Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28792).
