He was predeceased by: his parents, Carter Lee Gorman and Reva Plemmons Gorman; his wife Carolyn Gorman; his sister Helen Mears; and his former wife Carole Wood Gorman.
He is survived by: his children, John Dennis Gorman Jr. (Sabrina) of Leicester, NC, Deborah Gorman and Jody Wright (Mark) of Leicester, NC; his siblings, Carter Lee Gorman Jr. (Wanda) of Leicester, NC and Sharon Gorman Sutton (Joe) of Wilmington, NC; and his granddaughter Jessica Jensen of Leicester, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
