Buell left this world on October 3, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his son Doug Barker of Leland, NC; his siblings, Emily Barker Skaggs, Cathy Barker Price, Bonnie Barker Anglin and Charles Barker; and his parents, Pauline Fillyaw Barker and Ples Lee Barker.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Barker; his sons, Dan Barker (Shawn), David Barker (Angie) and Mike Barker (Melissa); and his brothers, James Barker (Mary) of Greenup, KY and Eddie Barker of Hitchens, KY.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the All Souls Episcopal Church (5087 Blue Banks Loop Rd NE, Leland, NC 28451).
