With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dick McElroy of Leland, North Carolina, who passed away on January 15, 2024 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dick McElroy to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Tom McElroy and Mary McElroy; his father-in-law Lee Deitch; and his brother-in-law Bill Deitch. He is survived by : his wife Melanie; his siblings, Betsy McKinnon (Fred), Paul McElroy (Linda) and Daniel McElroy (Sue); and his mother-in-law Theodora Deitch. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
