With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Addington Pence of Leland, North Carolina, born in Dante, Virginia, who passed away on February 19, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Lonnie Addington and Emily Harding Addington; her son Stephen M. Pence; and her sister Betty Addington Gruehn. She is survived by : her close friend Rodman Roberts; her son James Jerome Pence III; and also, Karyn Roberts, Kenneth William Roberts and Rodman Scott Roberts (Amanda). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
