He was predeceased by: his parents, Morrison Brogden Watkins and Lillian Pearl Rabon Watkins; his daughter Molly Cora Watkins; his brothers, William Roger Watkins and Donald Ray Watkins; and his parents-in-law, Frederick Beach Linton and Nancy Davis Linton.

He is survived by: his wife Cathy Watkins; his sons, Frederick Brogden Watkins and William Roger Carney; his grandchildren, Amber Morgan, Harmony Fuller, Shaun Fuller and Justus Junior Fuller; his great grandchild Riley Morgan; his brothers, Morry Watkins (Linda) and David Watkins (Amy); and his sister-in-law Cindy "Mamaw" Levasseur (Jeff). He is also survived by several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Peace Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 5811 Ocean Hwy E, Winnabow, NC 28479.
