With sadness, we share the passing of Robert Lee Carpenter of Leland, North Carolina. Robert, born on May 31, 1946, passed away on August 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lynne Carpenter and Elizabeth Weber Carpenter; his brother Fred Carpenter; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Carpenter and Leslie Ackerman.
He is survived by: his wife Helene Carpenter; his children, Keith Carpenter and Carrie Shaffer; his son-in-law Morgan Shaffer; his grandsons, Steven Trainor, Paul Trainor and Matthew Shaffer; his sister-in-law Diane Ackerman; his nephews, Jon David Carpenter and Raymond Ackerman; and his niece Denise Ackerman.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 1:30 PM at the New Hanover Church (318 Silver Lake Rd, Wilmington, NC 28412).
