He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius McKeown and Edith McKeown; his brother Neil; and his parents-in-law, Nicholas Mavros and Rosemary Mavros.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine McKeown (Mavros); his daughters, Lindsay and Stephanie; his son-in-law Michael; and his grandchildren, Logan, Colton and Griffin. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and treasured friends.
