He was predeceased by: his parents, Della Edwards Pridgen and William Lee Pridgen; his wife Cecelia Sue Barnes Pridgen; his siblings, Bill Pridgen, Bob Pridgen, Ed Pridgen, Ray Pridgen, Bertha Thomas and Doris Morgan; his nephew Cecil Jamie Speight; and his close friend Jacque.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Denise White (Barry) of Elizabethtown, Tammy Pridgen Barnes (Steve) of Wilson, Bruce Grant Pridgen II (Heather) of Leland and Lee Ann Pridgen Goff (Ray) of Rocky Mount; his grandchildren, Lauren Ashley White Rutland (Matt) of Elizabethtown, Susan Alexandra Pridgen of Wilson, Jordan McRae White (Molly) of White Lake, Grace Victoria Hill of Wilson, Campbell Christian White (Tori) of Gray's Creek, Sharon Zoie Rain Nixon of Rocky Mount, Danielle Faith Hill of Leland, Alison Kasey Nixon of Wilson, Natalie Pridgen Brabham (Ryan) of Macon, GA, Kathryn Spring Pridgen of Asheville, Douglas Bradlee Goff of Rocky Mount, Emily Blair Goff of Rocky Mount and Spencer Grant Pridgen of Leland; and his sister-in-law Ruby Ann Barnes (Louis) of Rocky Mount. He is also survived by 13 great‑grandchildren.
