He is survived by: his wife Patti; his sister Janet Muir (Jim); his children, Eddie Brittain (Denita), Matt Johnson (Annemarie), Meg Whitaker (Brian) and John Spencer (April); his grandchildren, Lance, Chasity, Robbie, Cory, Jemma, Evan, Saylor and Emryn; his nephews, Kyle and Craig Warlick; his sister-in-law Peggy Saylor; and his close friend Carolyn Bryant.
