Betty Hill Barkley Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Hill Barkley in Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on May 4, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Pleasant Hill and Irma Tucker Hill; her husband Robert Cliff Barkley, Sr.; and her siblings, David Wilson Hill and Linda Hill Tucker.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert Cliff Barkley, Jr., James W. Barkley of Lincolnton and Joe H. Barkley (Sari-Beth Esmail) of Chicago, IL; her granddaughter Heather Barkley DePietro (Luke) of Cherryville; and her great grandchildren, Joseph, Lucas and Audrey.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
