He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Alford and Retha Banner; and his stepfather Steven Ellis. He is survived by: his parents, Virgil Banner (Joanie) of Lenoir, NC and Donna Ellis of Lenoir, NC; his sons, Caden of Lenoir and Skylar McLeod of Lenoir; his siblings, Teddy McLeod (Christa) of Lenoir, Chase Banner of Lenoir, Virgil V. Banner (Cynthia) of Charlotte and Tracey Cartelli (Brian) of Monroe, NC; and his grandparents, Edward and Betty Bristol. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
