Charles Lemuel Eaker Obituary
We announce the death of Charles Lemuel Eaker (Lenoir, North Carolina), who passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 91. Charles will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his stepfathers, Homer Bagwell and Dr. D. O. Wolfenbarger; and his sisters, Verneda Bailey and Marlyn Carpenter. He is survived by: his children, Clinton Eaker (Janet), Kern Eaker (Martina) and Laura Prevo (Mike); his grandchildren, Christopher Eaker, Alexander Eaker, Kyle Byrd, Trey Byrd (Sophie) and Jessica Mendez (Cristian); his great grandchild Eloise "Ellie" Byrd; his brother Daniel Eaker; and his wife Linda. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (309 Church St NW, Lenoir, NC 28645).
