With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Danny Blanton Wortman of Lenoir, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 30, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Loy Aaron and Maude Blanton Wortman; and his wife Martha Ann Watkins. He is survived by: his daughters, Danna Wortman (Tom Adams) of Winston-Salem and Jackie Reynolds (Joey) of Denver; his grandchildren, Stephanie Lemmerman (Karen) of Huntersville, Ross Howard (Laura) of Mooresville, Brady Lemmerman (Sara) of San Francisco, CA, Carter Lemmerman (Melissa) of Mocksville and Jack Howard (Hayley) of Charlotte; his great grandchildren, Emma Howard, Olivia Howard, Adelie Lemmerman, Callen Lemmerman and Charles Lemmerman (Chip); and his friend Aura Sticklen.
The family respectfully requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Lenoir or to a charity of choice.
