She was predeceased by: her father Richard D. Whisnant, Sr.; her siblings, Betty Jo Crisp, Mary Ellen Dellinger, David Dellinger, Jesse Whisnant, Sr., Richard Whisnant, Jr., Mark Whisnant and Dickie Allen Whisnant; and her siblings' children, Michael Whisnant, Jesse Whisnant, Jr., Charlie Crisp, Jordan Whisnant, Jacy Whisnant and Patty Jean Whisnant (Sonny Sumpter).

She is survived by: her mother Delphia Lee Dellinger Whisnant; her sons, Billy McElyea II, Marcus Whisnant and Jeremiah Whisnant; her siblings, Frances Moon, Kitty Royal and Eugene Dellinger; and her siblings' children, Joe Royal, Dewey Royal, David Prevatt, Jr., Ricky Whisnant, Amanda Rice, Sarah Dellinger, Jessica Prevatt, Felicia Crisp and Maya Whisnant.
