With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Eugene Beard Sr. of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on November 20, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugene Beard and Mable Icenhour Beard; his wife Peggy Sue Hayes Beard; his brother Wayne Beard; and his granddaughter Emily Childers.
He is survived by : his children, Daphne Moore (Patrick) of Lenoir, NC, LaDonna Hodge of Hickory, NC and Donald Beard, Jr. (Amy) of Newton, NC; his grandchildren, Holly Bradish, Shane Griffin, Megan Poythress, Forrest Childers, Brooke Childers, Landon Beard, Addison Beard, Regan Spizzo and Kylee Spizzo; and his sister Lyvonda Robbins (Neil Finger) of Terrell, NC. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
