He is survived by: his daughter Beth Tester; his siblings, Johnny Scarberry (Judy), Sue Maddy (Tracy) and Reba Steffey; his grandchildren, Logan Scarberry, John Tester and Elijah Tester; and his close friends, Donnie and Charlie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel (725 Wilkesboro Blvd NE, Lenoir, NC 28645).
