We announce the death of Forrest Gene Coffey of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 85. Forrest will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Forrest’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Coffey and Pauline Honeycutt Coffey; his daughter Terri Jean Coffey; and his brother Stencil Coffey. He is survived by: his sons, Forrest Jerome Coffey, Kelly Lee Coffey and Willie Ray Coffey; his brother Bobby Coffey; and his nieces, Wilma Lukasek and Kim Peterson (Brent). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel (725 Wilkesboro Blvd NE, Lenoir, NC 28645). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
