With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ida Marlene Martin Austin (Lenoir, North Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her mother Della VanDyke Martin; her husband Frank Daniel Austin; and her son Dwight Daniel Austin. She is survived by: her daughter Patty Austin Brown (Kevin); her grandchildren, Cory Brown (Ruth McCrary), Andrew Brown (Emily), Amanda Teague (Gary) and Megan Ammons (Will); and her great grandchildren, Noah Brown, Lily Smith (Matthew), Connor Brown, Caden Brown, Will Ammons Jr., Liam Ammons and Jada Teague.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Alexander Funeral Service (193 NC-16, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at the Union Baptist Church (4595 Union Baptist Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645).
