It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iva Dean Pitts of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Iva Dean's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Iva Dean has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Foster Ray and Hazel Celeste Benfield; her husband Robert Theodore Pitts; and her sister Mary Louise Lewis. She is survived by: her nephew Raymond Lewis (Kenlaugh); and her niece Mary Lewis (Robin).
