He was predeceased by: his parents, James Albert Greer and Lina Pearl Greer; his wife Mary Elizabeth Greer; and his siblings, John Carrol Greer and Annie Lee Hendrick.
He is survived by: his children, James Ronald Greer (Harriet) and Lizabeth Juwan Tygart (Daniel); and his siblings, Dannie Kidd, Alice Watson and David Greer (Pat). He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
