He was predeceased by: his parents, Torrence Bean and Pansy Bean; his siblings, Bobby Triplet, Paul Bean and Melba Jean Hennessee; and his grandson Mason Bean.

He is survived by: his son Greg Bean (Toni); and his sister Willa Dean Cozart.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Service & Crematory (1070 Taylorsville Rd SE, Lenoir, NC 28645). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
