It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Lewis Lockhart (Lenoir, North Carolina), who passed away on July 4, 2022, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floree Chambers Lockhart and Jacob Victoria Lockhart; and his siblings, Author James "Dick" Lockhart, Clyde Lockhart, Thomas Lockhart, Matthew Lockhart, Ray Lockhart Sr., Gloria Jane Sanders and Martha Ruth Lockhart.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Banner Lockhart; his children, Denise Lockhart and Gordan Lockhart; his grandchildren, Isaiah, Gabrian, Zariah, Nyla and Iriee; and his siblings, Ola Mae Roseboro, Mattie Faye Scott, Dorothy Lockhart, Delores Lockhart, Jacob Lockhart (Selma) and K. C. Lockhart. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, along with uncles, aunts, cousins and many close friends.
