He was predeceased by: his parents, Zennie Lingerfelt and Eula Smith Lingerfelt; and his siblings, James Lingerfelt, Joann Stephens, Lois Johnson and Faye Zimmerman.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Yount Lingerfelt; his son Rev. Derick Lingerfelt (Shannon) of Connelly Springs; his grandchildren, Tori Louanne Lingerfelt and Alexander Eugene Lingerfelt; and his siblings, Margaret Bumgarner, Sue Wilson (Jack) and Harold Lingerfelt.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church (1655 Bradford Mountain Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
