He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harper Beall Jr. and Lorraine Willcox Beall. He is survived by: his close friend Josephine Woodard Beall; his children, Cameron Beall McIntosh (Mike), Caroline Beall Brackett and Jonathan Barclay Beall (Drew); his grandchildren, Leighton, James, Gretchen McIntosh, Fin, Josie, Beau Brackett, Harper and JP Beall; and his sisters, Elizabeth "Betsy" Beall Gordon (Melanie Beall Williams) and Becky (Nora White).
A funeral service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lenoir Presbyterian Church (1002 Kirkwood St NW, Lenoir, NC 28645).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hurricane Helene Relief Fund at Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church (Blowing Rock, NC), or to Camp Blue Skies, a nonprofit that provides enriching camp experiences for adults with developmental disabilities.
