He was predeceased by : his parents, Coy Lee Lackey and Dorcas Barrier Lackey of Lenoir, NC.; and his siblings, Chris, Clay Lackey and Sena Crump.

He is survived by : his wife Tina Lackey; his son Jason Eric Lackey; his grandsons, Austin Smith and Jeremy Guffey; his brother Jack Lackey (Melissa); his granddaughter Allie Lackey; and his pets, Sallie and Pearl.
