He was predeceased by : his parents, Jack Saunders and Lovina Hall Saunders; and his siblings, Robert Saunders, Gladys Hardister and Geraldine Hopkins.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley Saunders; his daughters, Amy Saunders and Cheryl Saunders; and his sister Diane Spiegler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
