She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Culbreth and Pearl Culbreth; her husband G. A. Mathias; her brothers, Bynum Culbreth and Harry Culbreth; her brother-in-law Alfred Horne; her sisters, Durema Culbreth, Margaret Horne and Nancy Nemeth; her sister-in-law Kathy Culbreth; and her grandchild Baby Jay.
She is survived by: her children, Todd Mathias, Lucas Mathias (Linda), Michele Mathias (David) and Melissa Mathias; her siblings, David Culbreth (Martha), Katie Culbreth, Donna Owens (Pete) and Edith Culbreth (Wayne); and her grandchildren, Savannah, Geoffry, Madison, Landon, Gavin, Harley and Presleigh.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Greer-McElveen Funeral Home (725 Wilkesboro Blvd NE, Lenoir, NC 28645).
