With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lloyd Eugene Nichols of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on April 1, 2024 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lloyd Eugene Nichols to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Lloyd L. Nichols and Mazie Powell Nichols; and his son Joel Paeton Nichols. He is survived by : his wife JoAnn Storie Nichols of Lenoir; his children, Lloyd Eugene "Buddy" Nichols II, Shannon William Nichols of Lenoir and Adonya Lee Powell of Lenoir; his brother Carl Leonard "Punch" Nichols of Morganton; his grandchildren, Megan Leigh Nichols, Matthew Paeton Nichols, Taylor Nichols Fristoe (James), Grayson William Nichols and Mazie Raye Wakefield; and his nephew Carl Douglas Nichols (Penny). He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Friday, April 5th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Blue Ridge Memorial Park (2017 Wilkesboro Blvd, Lenoir, NC 28645).

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Pisgah Baptist Church.
