She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Lee" Turnmire and Mamie Belle Coffey Turnmire; and her siblings, Grady Turnmire, Nina Coffey, Pauline Coffey, Vilas Turnmire, Gene Turnmire, William Turnmire and Betsy Ann Turnmire.
She is survived by: her husband Eugene "Ray" Sherrill; her children, Gary Sherrill (Mary), Lori Sherrill Moody (Tim) and Alan Sherrill (Kim); and her grandchildren, Ben Moody (Savannah Franklin), William Sherrill, Holly Sherrill Hargett (Mark), Victoria Sherrill and Catherine Sherrill. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Tabernacle Advent Christian Church (1522 Wildwood Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
