As Mary Maxine departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mary Maxine may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mary Maxine leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Tuttle and Dorothy Lee Davis Tuttle; her husband Rev. Andrew Harshaw; her son Tony Nathan Harshaw; and her close friend Billie Patterson.
She is survived by: her daughter Drewann Harshaw; and her stepson Paul Francis Dula. She is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dula's Chapel Baptist Church (1575 Miller Hill Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at the Dulatown Cemetery (1576 Miller Hill Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645).
