It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merlin Foster Perry of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was predeceased by: his sister Martha J. Fesmire. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his sons, John Perry (Lisa) of Abingdon, VA and Robert Perry (Robin) of Portland, OR; and his grandchildren, Ben Perry and Clara Perry.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Lenoir (304 N Main St, Lenoir, NC 28645). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amorem (Hospice) at 902 Kirkwood St. NW, Lenoir, NC or the First Baptist Church Love Fund at 304 Main St., Lenoir, NC.
