The passing of Nicole Renee (Clenney) Slye (Lenoir, North Carolina), born in New London, Connecticut leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 28, 2026 at the age of 32. Though Nicole may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nicole touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her husband John E. "Jack" Slye; her daughter Fiona; her parents, Dr. Timothy Clenney and Cindy Clenney; her brother Matthew Clenney; and her sister-in-law Kaitlin Slye Cerny (Mark).
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Lenoir (304 N Main St, Lenoir, NC 28645). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Blue Ridge Memorial Park (2017 Wilkesboro Blvd, Lenoir, NC 28645).
