Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Opal Davis Woods of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 96, on December 25, 2023. She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Davis and Mary Ward Davis; her husband John Archie Woods; her sons-in-law, Tony Parlier, Paul Lawson, Sr. and Thomas R. Pipes; and her siblings, J. D., Roy, Howard Davis, Louise Watson and Anna Belle Watson.

She is survived by : her children, Hilda Pipes Lawson, Lisa Parlier and Tommy Woods (Wanda Wilson Woods); her grandchildren, Heather Ward (Rick), Hope Pipes, Lora Parlier (Shaq), Nathan Woods (Amy) and Michael Woods (Nicole); her great grandchildren, Jordan Dula, Brittney Dula, Devontae Pipes, Katelyn Pipes-Walton, Keira Murray, Kyrie Byrd and Wendy Woods; her great great grandchildren, Trey, Kylie, Tyler, Adonis, Lainey, Noah Dula, Carson, Carter, Hunter, Walker and Kynleigh Pipes; her sisters, Pauline Brown and Ala Sue Dyer; and her pets, Paris, Benji and Freddy. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any no kill animal shelters.
