She was predeceased by: her father Bobby Hood; and her sister Carolyn Douglas. She is survived by: her daughters, Misty Shew of Lenoir and Chasity Mitchell of Lenoir; her grandchildren, Victoria Reid, Khalil Shew, Deykel Sanders, Cyrus Mitchell Jr. and Davyn Sanders; her great grandchildren, Talon Greer and Isla Shew; and her son-in-law Cyrus Mitchell.
