With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger Dale Cozart (Lenoir, North Carolina), who passed away on February 25, 2026 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Smith Cozart and Margaret Curtis Cozart; his brothers, Lester Smith Cozart, Jr. and Gary Steven Cozart; and his brother-in-law Joe Tolbert.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda; his children, David Severt (Shannon), Heather Severt (R. J.) and Shelley Simmons (Todd); his siblings, Irene Tolbert (Joe), Debbie Richardson (Jack) and Scott Cozart (Sarah); his grandchildren, Josh Severt, Kaleigh Seagle, Maddie Seagle, Luk Severt, Emily Bryant (Hunter), Amber Gragg and Steven Simmons; and his great grandchildren, Aubree Gragg, Windom Gragg and Nolan Bryant. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Amorem Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Ave., Lenoir, NC.
