He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Reid and Ruby Haigler Pearson; his wife Debra Crisp Reid; his stepfather James Fred Pearson; and his siblings, Della Paige, Louise Reid, Silvia Aldridge and Richard Reid.

He is survived by: his sons, Roger J. Reid and Michael C. Reid (Deborah); his grandchildren, Bryan, Brayden and McKenna Reid; and his sibling's children, David Bates, Roberta Conner and Linda Nelson.
