She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Cleveland Sumpter and Lula Jane Griffin Sumpter; her husband Elmer Hollars; and her siblings, Glen Sumpter, Harold Sumpter and Mildred West.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph "Joey" Hollars (Rhonda) and Julie Hollars; her grandson Caleb Hollars (Michaela); and her son Jacob Hollars.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Service & Crematory (1070 Taylorsville Rd SE, Lenoir, NC 28645). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery (5570 Blowing Rock Blvd, Lenoir, NC 28645).
