He was predeceased by: his parents, Lavern Calvin and Minor Elizabeth Triplett Goble; his granddaughter Alyssa Jade Goble; his brother James "Jim" Leonard Goble; his son-in-law Jeff Philyaw; and his brother-in-law Bill Swanner.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Goble; his children, James Terrell Goble (Lisa) and Gail Levern Philyaw; and his sister Pamila Swanner. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church (3007 Morganton Blvd SW, Lenoir, NC 28645). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
