He was predeceased by : his parents, Max Millard Laws and Hazel Crump Laws; and his brothers, Steve Laws and Max Laws. He is survived by : his children, Eldon Dewayne Laws, Darren Oneal Laws and Monica Shey Laws; and his siblings, Larry Laws, Linda Bentley, Jerrell Laws, Buddy Laws, Randy Laws and Kathy McCord.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Greer-McElveen Funeral Home (725 Wilkesboro Blvd NE, Lenoir, NC 28645). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery (3110 Shiloh Church Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645).
