He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clarence Greer and Bernice Dula; his wife Elizabeth Jane Chalmers Greer; and his sister Jeanette Barbour. He is survived by: his children, Daniel Greer, Marnie Ross (Terry) and Teresa Calloway (Tony); his siblings, Glenn Greer, Michael Paul and Janet Greer; and his grandchildren, Candace Booker, Therese Blystone, Katie Galarza, Kevin Calloway and Sarah Calloway. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Greer-McElveen Funeral Home and Crematory (725 Wilkesboro Blvd NE, Lenoir, NC 28645). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (328 Woodsway Ln NW B, Lenoir, NC 28645).
