It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Mullis (Lenoir, North Carolina), who passed away on May 23, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Broyhill and Marie Broyhill; her husband Thad Mullis; her son John Mullis; her former husband Claude Armfield; and her stepson Paul.
She is survived by: her stepson Thad "Mac" Mullis (Mary); her children, Leon Mullis (Jeanne) and Maria Mullis; her stepchildren, Janice Armfield Willenborg, Claude "Duff" Armfield (Camilla) and Phillip Armfield (Alma); her grandchildren, Jan Cooper (Chip), John Mullis (Lucy), Ginny Mullis, Thad Mullis, III (Ruby), Myra Lynn McCurry (Tim), Martin Mullis (Patricia), Diedre Antigo (Gary), Russell Mullis (Terra) and Michael Burris (Kirsten); and her great grandchildren, Justin, Cristopher, Lauren Cooper, Mitchell, Madeline McCurry, Spencer, Bella Antigo, Aeva, Quinn Mullis, Brennan and Alena Burris.
