He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter McKinley Davis, Jr. (Junie) and Shirley Lorraine Kincaid Davis. He is survived by: his wife Vanessa Lane Davis (Berry); his children, April Coffey (Shannon) and Travis Hamby (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Dylan Coffey, Emma Coffey, Ellie Hamby, Jackson Mercer and Jillian Mercer; his siblings, Vicki Safford, Donna Wilson (John), Marsha Pendry (Bill) and Bill Davis (Kathy); and his uncle Jeff Davis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to AMOREM Hospice, American Cancer Society, or the Lenoir Little League Society.
