She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard Vance Smith and Annie Mae Bumgarner Smith; her siblings, Thad Eugene Smith, Tallie Junior Smith, Fred Smith, Haywood Smith, Geraldine Kaylor, Hester Pennell and Rosetta Smith; and her son-in-law Allen Huddleston.
She is survived by: her children, Doris Huddleston of Lenoir, Frances Nicole Shivers of Lenoir and Matthew Paul Shivers of Lenoir; her sister Rachel S. Cook of Hudson; and her stepsister Beulah Eller of Hudson. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church (1655 Bradford Mountain Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
