It is with sadness that the passing of William Lee Colbert (Lenoir, North Carolina) is shared. William, born on March 1, 1938, passed away on October 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rubin Alonzo Colbert and Genie Bowers Colbert; his wife Mary Juanita Smith Colbert; his daughters, Joan Carolyn Smith and Ernestine Lindon; and his brothers, J. D. Colbert, Howard Colbert and Claudie Colbert.
He is survived by: his children, Tyrone Perry, Claudia Corpening, Inita Smith, Morton Smith, Antoinette Smith, Charmin Smith and Tieasha Smith; and his brothers, Glen Colbert, Larry Colbert and Jack Colbert. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service (1070 Taylorsville Rd SE, Lenoir, NC 28645).
