He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Deal and Lillie Mae Teague. He is survived by: his wife Carol Deal; his children, Kelly Deal McIntyre (James McIntyre) and William Marcus Deal, Jr. (Annie Storie Deal); and his grandchildren, Faith, Lucas McIntyre, Ava and Ivy Deal. He is also survived by many cousins, extended family, and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the WaterLife Church (1007 Morganton Blvd SW, Lenoir, NC 28645). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Cedar Valley United Methodist Church (1304 Cedar Valley Church Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645).
